1961 Portmeirion Pottery Yellow & Orange 'Talisman' Storage Jar by Susan Williams-Ellis

Designed in 1961 by Susan Williams-Ellis this is a fabulous Portmeirion ceramic storage jar in an early screenprinted design called 'Talisman' which came in three different colourways - this is the yellow and orange version.  It is fully stamped to the base with the oval Portmeirion backstamp and is a must-have for any Portmeirion or retro ceramics collection.  Although this jar has lost its original cork lid, it could be fairly easily replaced.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
