The Briglin Pottery in London W1, famous for their rustic pottery and wax resist glazes, was established in 1948 by Brigitte Appleby (nee Goldschmidt) and Eileen Lewenstein. Offered for sale here are three bowls (shown stacked up on top of each other in the main photograph) decorated using the manganese oxide and wax-resist white glaze technique Briglin is famous for. All three bowls are stamped to the base rims with 'BRIGLIN ENGLAND'. Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
