The Briglin Pottery in London W1, famous for their rustic pottery and wax resist glazes, was established in 1948 by Brigitte Appleby (nee Goldschmidt) and Eileen Lewenstein. Dating from the 1970’s here is a brilliant Dougall moneybox from the Magic Roundabout children's TV series. It's a fabulous retro item with the typical Briglin rough surface texture to represent Dougall's luxurious fur and a white glaze to his cheeky face peeking out, this is a must for any Briglin or moneybox collector or, of course, any fan of the now legendary Magic Roundabout. Unmarked. Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
SIZE: Height 3in/7.5cm Length 4in/10cm Weight 360g
