1960s Chelsea Pottery (London) Large Glazed Wall Plate - CHELSEA-WALLPL1
Dating from the 1960s or thereabouts here is an extremely attractive large wall plate from the famous Chelsea Pottery in London decorated with a symmetrical stylised flower design in blue and green glazes. Although it's not signed it's very reminiscent of the work of Joyce Morgan - but whoever decorated it there's no denying it's a really beautiful piece of retro studio pottery. Hand incised to the underside with 'CHELSEA'. Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
SIZE: Diameter 8.5in/21.5cm Weight 622g
CONDITION: Gorgeous original, undamaged condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines - there is an unglazed semi-circular line to the centre of the plate (shown in the photographs) which is original to manufacture.
