1950s/60s Bitossi (Italy) Rimini Blu Fruit Bowl #2 designed by Aldo Londi - BITOSSIBLU2
Here is yet another fabulous large (and heavy!) fruitbowl designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi in Italy circa 1960 in the famous Rimini Blu colour combination of blue and turquoise glazes (said to have been inspired by the colours of the mediterranean). This is a really nice piece of retro Italian glazed pottery decorated with a fabulous impressed paisley pattern and is stamped to the base with 'ITALY' and '69/4B'. This is a striking display piece and an impressive addition to any retro ceramics collection. Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
