1960s Ceramica Milano (Italy) 4 Piece Dressing Table Set - ITALY-CERAMICA

£40.00

We've had vases and pots from this range before and they're gorgeous - always featuring a typically 1960s and very pretty stylised girl surrounded by a delicate coloured border - this set is in lilac.  It's a four piece dressing table set consisting of a tray, a perfume atomiser (needs a replacement puffer, these can be sourced on the internet) and a trinket box with a lid.  Would make a thoughtful and original gift.  All pieces marked to the base and the perfume atomiser is also still sporting it's original gold foil manufacturer's label.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

SIZE:  Length of tray  8.25in/20.5cm    Combined Weight  564g

CONDITION:  Fabulous original condition - apart from a small chip to the edge of the trinket box lid which has been repaired there are no other chips, cracks or hairlines.  This particular type of pottery and the glaze used are very fragile, every piece I've had in the past has had glaze loss or chips to some lesser or greater degree.

Retro Ceramics - Italian

This section is dedicated to the incredible and iconic designs from the Italian ceramic masters Marcello Fantoni, Guido Gambone and his son Bruno Gambone, as well as the many unidentified and unmarked Italian studio ceramics 'in the style of' designed and manufactured during the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's. This is a very exciting area of ceramics with the kitsch and modernist themes, colours, textures and glazes lending themselves extremely well to contemporary interiors. Pieces are becoming highly collectable resulting in rising prices and items becoming scarcer and harder to find. However, we're constantly on the lookout for these types of Italian ceramics and hope to bring you many pieces with the right 'look' and pedigree (if not always necessarily by Gambone or Fantoni).

Make sure you keep checking back here for new pieces and have a browse through some of our other ceramic sections for ceramics produced outside Italy that were quite obviously influenced by the same inspirations. These types of pottery sit particularly well with other Italian ceramics like Bitossi and Raymor as well as the brilliant ceramics from West Germany from the same period.
