This is an extremely decorative yet very usuable pair of Norwegian pottery eggcups. With a white glazed ground decorated with a stylised flowery pattern in green and marked to the bases in green with 'F/F Figgjo Flint Norway'. Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

CONDITION: Great original undamaged condition - with no chips, cracks or hairlines and virtually no surface wear.

Scandinavian ceramics from the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s is such a diverse subject with so many well established and famous names all playing a big part it’s difficult to sum up succinctly. From Denmark there’s the top quality pottery and porcelain from Royal Copenhagen, Bing & Grondahl and Nymolle; Norway and Finland bring us iconic tablewear from Egersund, Figgio Flint, Stavangerflint and Arabia and, finally, from Sweden there’s Rorstrand, Upsala Ekeby and Gustavsberg – amongst others.

We intend to keep in stock a broad range of ceramics from all these famous companies (and the not so famous we haven’t mentioned) and to include work by legendary designers including Gunnar Nylund, Bjorn Wiinblad, Inger Waage, Marianne Westman, Hertha Bengtsson, Carl Harry Stalhane, Stig Lindberg and Lisa Larsson to name just a few.
