1973 Signed Annette Meech Glass Goblet, The Old Glasshouse, Covent Garden - XAMEECH-GOBLET1
Offered for sale here is a fabulous and very unusual glass goblet designed and hand made by the legendary Annette Meech in 1973 at the Old Glassworks in Covent Garden, London. This is a very early piece of Annette's work - she graduated from the Royal College of Art just the year before and the brown/milky effect to the glass was caused by using silver chloride. Annette Meech is particularly well-known for designing the iconic 'Apollo' and other glasswear for Ravenhead. In 1999 she moved her glasswork to France (Sivignon) where she continues to produce beautiful hand made art glass to this day. Don't miss out - this is an extremely rare and early piece of her work - thick and heavy, this looks impressive on display. Fully signed to the base with 'Annette Meech 1973'. Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
