The 1950's, 1960's, 1970's saw the manufacture of some very funky items for everyday use, functional items that look even more brilliant and up to the minute in todays interiors - from the kitchen to the dining room there are plenty of things here making a real retro statement.

This section is home to salt & pepper sets, cruets, trivets, storage jars, oven to tableware and serving dishes, drinking glasses, cutlery and picnic/plastic items. The look and quality is much more important to us than the manufacturer or designer when it comes to choosing items - whether it's abstract, modernist, flower-power, psychedelic or kitsch - if it's functional and decorative it's here. We do usually stock items from famous names such as Portmeirion, Lord Nelson Pottery, Stavangerflint, Viners, Old Hall, Robert Welch - and many others but the designer and manufacturer are not the main considerations; indeed some items may be unmarked, it is generally the design, overall look and functionality that matters most to us when considering items for inclusion.
