This is a breathtaking vase designed by the legendary Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri D'Arte (Murano) where he was the artistic director from the late 1930's up until 1963. This vase was was exhibited at the 1958 World Fair in Brussels and still bears its original fair label which says 'ARTE NUOVA MURANO, GRAND PRIZE, GENUINE VENETIAN GLASS, World Fair Brussels 1958'. Made from a vibrant green and pale yellow glass in a superb organic shape - the rim tapering elegantly to a smooth rounded opening - it's an extremely tactile item and all in all, is an important piece of Italian glass from a highly respected and sought after designer.
