SOLD POTTERY ARCHIVES : Scandinavian Pottery 1 : 1967-1986 Gustavsberg (Sweden) 'Unik' Series Elephant Wall Plaque by Lisa Larson

SOLD

Here is a large wall plaque decorated with the image of three men riding an elephant from the Unik series designed in the 1960's by Lisa Larson for Gustavsberg (Sweden) and in production from 1967 until 1986.  With fantastic glazes in shades of blue, green and brown and with a highly textured surface finish there were many different designs (mostly animals) in the series and we intend, in time, to carry them all.  This is an iconic example of retro/vintage Scandinavian design from a highly respected and sought after artist - marked to the front of the tile with 'Lisa L Gustavsberg'.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

SIZE:  Square 8.75in/22.5cm       Weight  1412g
