Dating from between 1966 and 1969 here is a fabulous small early Delphis dish (shape number 361) which, although not marked, was almost certainly painted by the highly sought after Poole paintress, Jean Millership (Matthews). Decorated with the lovely thick 'orange peel' textured surface glazes of an orange ground with yellow, black and a highly unusual bright blue - this is an extremely decorative piece of retro Poole. Marked to the base with the backstamp of a black dolphin and the words 'POOLE England' and the shape no. 361. Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
