This is a highly collectable ceramic tile from the Menagerie series designed by Kenneth Townsend, the brother of Dennis Townsend of Rye and Iden Potteries fame.  With a white ground and decorated with a cheeky looking stylised cat in orange and brown glazes it dates from the 1960s/70s and is fully marked to the reverse.   Please see all photographs for extra views and close-ups.
