Dating from between 1966 and 1969 here is a fabulous early Delphis Eye Dish (shape number 91) painted by the highly sought after Poole paintress, Jean Millership (Matthews). With fabulous thick, textured glazes to the surface in a striking colour combination of red, pale blue and purple - this an extremely decorative piece of retro pottery and was made before Poole started to limit the Delphis range of colours and textured surfaces post 1971. Fully marked to the base with the Poole backstamp, the paintress' monogram and the shape no. 91. Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
