Here is a fabulous mid 1950s Hornsea Pottery vase from the 'Coastline' range, the shapes designed by John Clappison and the decoration by Colin Rawson. It takes the form of a typically 1950s organic shape decorated with a crackly black and white glaze to the outside and a vibrant, again typically 1950s, light blue inner glaze. Only in production for a short period as a result of the sometimes volatile glaze technique, items from this range are hard to come by. Impressed to the base with 'E713 ENGLAND'.
