Dating from between 1966 and 1967 here is a fabulous large Delphis carved vase (shape number 85) painted by the Poole paintress, Margaret Anderson (nee Cooper).  It's hard to appreciate from the photographs quite how big and impressive it is - in a straight sided cylindrical shape it stands at a whopping 16 inches and is decorated with the early splashy Delphis glazes and carved/incised decoration.  A highly collectable and extremely desirable piece made before Poole started to limit the Delphis range of colours and textured surfaces post 1971.  Fully marked to the base with the Poole dolphin backstamp, the paintress' monogram and the shape number 85.
