Dating between 1966 and 1967 here is a nice early Delphis carved bowl (shape number 87) painted by the Poole paintress, Margaret Anderson (Cooper). With a fabulous lightly textured glaze to the surface in grey, black, red and yellow on a bright orange ground and with a cream coloured 'pie-crust' carved edge - this an extremely decorative piece of retro pottery and was made before Poole started to limit the Delphis range of colours and textured surfaces post 1971. Fully marked to the base with the Poole dolphin backstamp, the paintress' monogram and the shape no. 87.
