SOLD Dating from the 1960's or thereabouts here is a groovy lidded ironstone vegetable tureen from the Staffordshire Potteries and decorated in the 'Weston' pattern designed by Elayne Fallon consisting of purple, turquoise, green and light blue daisy/Mary Quant type flowers. The pattern extends around the side of the pot, the rim of the lid and with a single flower to the lid knob. This is very flower-power in inspiration - a really lovely item so indicative of the period in which it was manufactured that looks amazing on display but is robust enough to be used for it's original purpose. Fully marked to the base with 'Staffordshire Potteries Ltd, WESTON, designed by Elayne Fallon IRONSTONE Made in England'. Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups. SIZE: Height to top of lid knob 4.5in/11.5cm Diameter 8in/20cm Weight 1054g
