Dating from the 1950's here is a stunning and rare vase decorated in the 'Tigris' decor of a shiny black gloss ground with yellow and white handpainted lines, from the West German ceramics manufacturer Schmider.  The shape of the vase itself is curvy and organic - this is a rare and extremely decorative piece of retro West German ceramics.  Marked to the base with '4117' and 'Made in Western Germany'.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
