Dating from the 1970's or thereabouts here is a fabulous porcelain lidded dish - perhaps a sugar bowl - from the German porcelain manufacturer Eschenbach.  In a bright white porcelain in an unusual shape it has a brown glazed band around the side with white lozenge shaped gaps in which there are alternate gold and brown patterns with a tiny central flower motif.  The lid is also glazed brown with a white lozenge shaped handle.  It's a really unusual, decorative and very fine quality piece of retro Bavarian porcelain.  Stamped to the base in green with 'Eschenbach, Bavaria, Germany'.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
