Dating from the 1950's here is a very useful large oval platter from Stavangerflint (Norway).  In the brilliantly retro and highly collectable pattern, Bambus, by the legendary Inger Waage, of stylised lemons, onions and fish in blue and yellow in the centre, with black and yellow vertical stripes around the rim and black glazed handles.  This is a fabulous piece of retro Scandinavian pottery/ovenware that looks amazing on display but is robust enough to be used for it's original purpose.  Marked to the base with the Stavangerflint Axe symbol and the words 'Stavangerflint, Norway'.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

SIZE:   Length 12.5in/31.5cm   Width 8.25in/21cm  Weight 580g
