SOLD Dating from the 1950's/1960's here is a brilliant lidded casserole dish from Stavangerflint (Norway). With a slightly textured blue glazed base and a lid with a white ground hand painted in the same blue with stylised flowers and a painted yellow band around the rim (the lid knob has a red painted band and a central flower motif) this was designed by the legendary Inger Waage. This is a very stylish and typically Scandinavian piece of pottery/ovenware that looks amazing on display but is robust enough to be used for it's original purpose. Fully marked to the base with 'Stavangerflint, Ildfast, Norway, 2020/1'. Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups. SIZE: Height 6in/15cm Width 9in/23cm Weight 1682g (07/45)
