Barware/Cutlery

The Viners 'Studio' range, and indeed the designs of the late Gerald Benney in general, have become very highly collectable and acquired a cult status over the years.  Dating from the 1960s here we have a 51 piece set of 'Studio' stainless steel flatware/cutlery (6 place settings of 8 pieces each plus 2 serving spoons and a really sweet cake slice - all items detailed below). 

This design has recently been re-issued by Viners however the markings to the originals and re-issues are different and easily identifiable; this particular set, marked 'Studio' to all pieces except the knives, is an original first issue.  We like this range so much we have a re-issued set for everyday use - they feel wonderful in the hand and are very stylish indeed.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

CONDITION: Although used this set is in great original condition with only light traces of wear - there are a few minor 'dinks' to a couple of the knives however.

Here we have for sale a boxed set of Viners/Royal Swedish Collection by Gense set of 6 fish knives and forks dating from the late 1960s/early 1970s - the box is also marked with Ranka Tableware.  I haven't been able to find out an awful lot about this range but with famous names behind them like Viners and Gense they're obviously great quality and sit nicely in the hand.  Still in their original box which has been written on and is a little shabby in places and bears a Royal Warrant on the box which reads 'By Appointment to the late King George V Cutlers and Silversmiths Viners Ltd.'  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

CONDITION:  Good original condition.

What a fabulous set this - still in it's original box with a brilliant retro image to the front and in mint condition - this doesn't look as if it's ever been used.  From Yax (Japan) and the design called 'Checker Flag' made from stainless steel with a chequered design to one side and the other side in teak/rosewood.  The set consists of 4 pieces - various items for opening bottles and cans - all essential retro bar items!  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

CONDITION:  Boxed and mint - fabulous!

Yet another great stainless steel barset - still in it's original box with a great retro image to the front and in totally unused condition.  The set consists of 5 pieces with rosewood handles - various different items for opening bottles and cans - all essential bar items!  We've no idea currently who made this set - there's no manufacturer mentioned on the box and the items themselves are simply marked 'Stainless Steel Foreign'.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
