Here is a fabulous Whitefriars bark vase designed by Geoffrey Baxter and dating from 1967, pattern number 9690 - this is the medium size.  In the vibrant and iconic Tangerine colourway (one of our favourite Whitefriars colours) and thickly encased in clear glass this has wonderful crisp definition which means that it was one of the early vases produced whilst the moulds were still highly defined.  This is a very collectable piece of retro glass that looks amazing on display.  With the usual Whitefriars ground down pontil to the base.  Please see all photographs for further viewpoints and close-ups.

Designed by Jim Dyer for Liskeard Glass and dating from the 1970's here is a fabulous amethyst and clear glass B1 knobbly bowl.  Liskeard Glass in Cornwall, now known as Merlin Glass, employed ex-Whitefriars employees which would probably explain the similarities to the Whitefriars knobbly range.  In a vibrant shade of purple glass lavishly encased in clear and with the Liskeard Glass 'LG' monogram to the base this is a thick and chunky piece of retro glass that looks brilliant on display.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

These are very attractive retro items, here's an Old Hall stainless steel base from their 'Lifespan' range topped off with an amethyst glass shade.  It is often stated that the shades are Whitefriars Glass production - but this hasn't been positively confirmed and is doubted by some.  Made to house a tealight - these come in various heights and shade colours.   Really decorative and iconic items.  I can't see a base stamp to this one but occasionally the mark is very faintly applied and can be easily rubbed away over time.  See all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
