1960s Decorative 'Birds in a Tree' Wall Plaque (Blue)
SOLD
Despite much research I'm afraid I've not yet been able to find out who designed or made this. It takes the form of a charmingly decorated glazed circular wall plaque decorated with birds sitting on branches in a tree. It has a John Clappison-esque feel to it but we know it's not a Clappison design - equally it could be by one of the Scandinavian factories. We have another of these tiles with the same decoration but in a brown glazed colourway, also currently for sale. We'd estimate them to date from the 1960s. Please see all photographs for extra views and close-ups.
