1960s/70s Bertoncello (Italy) Large Stylised Vase |

This is brilliant - a large vase by the Italian ceramics manufacturer Bertoncello dating from the 1960s or thereabouts. In a curvy and organic shape with a hole to the top for the flower stems and glazed in cream and brown matt glazes it's a striking piece that looks fabulous on display with other retro Italian ceramics and also sits very nicely with the Fat Lava West German ceramics of the same period. In a cubed shape with two holes right through and a hole to the top for the flower stems, glazed in the customary cream and brown matt glazes - it's a striking piece that looks fabulous on display with other retro Italian ceramics and also sits very nicely with the Fat Lava West German ceramics of the same period. 1960s Small Italian Glazed Ceramic Leather Backed Pin-Dish |

Dating from the 1960s here is a really charming Italian ceramic pin-dish in the Fantoni/Gambone style of a very high gloss finish colourfully decorated with a stylised image of a girl wearing a hat in black, white, red and blue high gloss glazes on a pale yellow ground. As many of these pieces are, it is backed with a tanned coloured leather which is in a fabulous undamaged condition. A pretty and highly collectable piece of retro Italian pottery. 1960s Large Italian Glazed Ceramic Leather Backed Bowl |

Here is a large (for one of these) and unusually shaped Italian ceramic bowl in the Fantoni/Gambone style of a very high gloss finish colourfully decorated with a stylised image of a girl wearing a hat in red, yellow, purple and black glazes on a white ground. As many of these pieces are, it is leather backed, and although the leather is in a dry and poor state the bowl itself is in superb, undamaged and original condition. With a fabulous scalloped shape to rim this is a highly collectable piece of retro Italian pottery. SIZE: Diameter 6.5in/16.5cm Height 3.5in/9cm Weight 464g CONDITION: Brilliant original condition - no chips, cracks or hairlines - just the poor dry state of the leather backing as mentioned previously.

1960s Ceramica Milano (Italy) 4 Piece Dressing Table Set |

We've had vases and pots from this range before and they're gorgeous - always featuring a typically 1960s and very pretty stylised girl surrounded by a delicate coloured border - this set is in lilac. It's a four piece dressing table set consisting of a tray, a perfume atomiser (needs a replacement puffer, these can be sourced on the internet) and a trinket box with a lid. Would make a thoughtful and original gift. All pieces marked to the base and the perfume atomiser is also still sporting it's original gold foil manufacturer's label. SIZE: Length of tray 8.25in/20.5cm Combined Weight 564g CONDITION: Fabulous original condition - apart from a small chip to the edge of the trinket box lid which has been repaired there are no other chips, cracks or hairlines. This particular type of pottery and the glaze used are very fragile, every piece I've had in the past has had glaze loss or chips to some lesser or greater degree.

Typically 1950s in style here is a fabulously kitsch Italian ceramic vase in an organic shape decorated with a black ground and splashes of bright colours. This is an extremely decorative piece of retro pottery that sits beautifully amongst Bitossi, Raymor, Gambone and Fantoni pieces of the same era. Marked to the base with 'M.D.L. ITALY 11c'.
