SOLD This is unbelievably fabulous and one of our current favourite pieces of West German ceramics, a 1960's pottery vase from Dumler & Breiden in the 'Konstanza' series. In a crazy shape and glazed in bright orange and purple Verner Panton inspired colours with orange circles and squiggly lava lines this looks simply amazing on display and is a shape and colourway that doesn't crop up on the market that frequently. Marked to the base with the D&B crossed swords and '199-16' (the shape number and size in centimetres). This is a top quality retro item - don't miss out! A beautiful stylised shape decorated with a warm golden brown glaze with darker highlights. These are considered to be rare/scarce items because they're hollow cast items and, as a result, fragile so many got broken. Unmarked to the base. This is absolutely brilliant - a circular wall plate decorated with splashy brown glazes and applied circular raised pieces to the centre glazed in vibrant orange gloss. It's a truly fabulous piece and an early piece of Ruscha with the incised numbers to the base/underside which are hard to decipher - the later pieces were marked differently. SOLD Made by the famous West German porcelain manufacturers, Winterling, here is a fabulous coffee pot and pair of cups and saucers dating from the 1970's or thereabouts judging by the retro pattern. In a bright white porcelain with a green and yellow flowery pattern to the front of the coffee pot and the same pattern to the front of the cups, the pot lid in a matching green and a matching design on the saucers - this is an extremely attractive and very usuable set. All pieces are marked to the base in green with 'Winterling Marktleuthen Bavaria' and 'Western Germany' (with the exception of the lid which has an impressed pattern number only inside the rim of 'K115/3'). SOLD This is a fabulous West German porcelain coffee set - comprising of a coffee pot and lid, cream jug, lidded sugar bowl and six cups and saucers (the saucers however I didn't have to hand when I took these photographs). Decorated with a glorious brightly coloured psychedelic/flower-power pattern on a white ground it's an absolute riot of colour and makes a bold statement whether used or on display - would make a fantastic gift! All pieces (excluding the two lids) are marked to the base with 'CP Made in German Democratic Republic FOREIGN' - this was almost certainly made for the export market. Dating from the 1970's or thereabouts here is a fabulous porcelain lidded dish - perhaps a sugar bowl - from the German porcelain manufacturer Eschenbach. In a bright white porcelain in an unusual shape it has a brown glazed band around the side with white lozenge shaped gaps in which there are alternate gold and brown patterns with a tiny central flower motif. The lid is also glazed brown with a white lozenge shaped handle. It's a really unusual, decorative and very fine quality piece of retro Bavarian porcelain. SOLD Dating from between 1961 and 1971 (we can be specific about this because of the backstamp) here is a lovely porcelain vase from the German porcelain manufacturer Gerold Porzellan, this was originally made for export into communist countries. In a bright white glazed porcelain in a retro waisted shape it has a modernist geometric pattern repeated all around in relief.
