1960s Two Dutch Fat Lava Glazed Studio Vases designed by Henk and Marius van Woerden for Vest Keramiek
1960s Two Dutch Fat Lava Glazed Studio Vases designed by Henk and Marius van Woerden for Vest Keramiek

SOLD

Here is a lovely set of two matching vases - often mistaken for West German production of the same period because of the thick volcanic lava type glaze to the outsides, these have recently been positively identified as Dutch by Els van Petersen - designed by brothers Henk and Marius van Woerden for Vest Keramiek, Gouda.  The crusty glazes produce an almost calcified effect and, combined with the interesting square and rectangular forms, they're extremely decorative items that also sit very nicely with the Fat Lava West German ceramics of the same period.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

SIZE:  Height  a) 4.25in/10.5cm   b) 3in/7.5cm     Weight  735g

1960's 'The Daily Grind' Ceramic Coffee Container with Wooden Lid
1960's 'The Daily Grind' Ceramic Coffee Container with Wooden Lid

SOLD

This is brilliant - the design to the front so typically late 1960's/early 1970's.  We have a ceramic coffee container with the words 'The Daily Grind' to the front in stylised psychedelic writing with a coffee grinder to the centre all on a white ground.  It has it's original wooden lid which is a little worn and shabby but is nevertheless original.  This looks fab on display and would make a great addition to a retro inspired kitchen.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

1960s Italian Glazed Ceramic Girl & Flowers Decorative Wall Plaque

Offered for sale is an extremely pretty and decorative Italian ceramic plaque in the Fantoni/Gambone style of a very high gloss glazed finish colourfully decorated with a stylised girl with flowers in white sgraffito on a bright red splashy ground dating from the 1960s judging from the typical look of the decoration.  An unusual shape, not marked to the reverse other than an '800' handwritten in what looks like yellow chalk it has a matt black back with hanging holes - superb!  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

1960s Ceramica Milano (Italy) 4 Piece Dressing Table Set
1960s Ceramica Milano (Italy) 4 Piece Dressing Table Set

We've had vases and pots from this range before and they're gorgeous - always featuring a typically 1960s and very pretty stylised girl surrounded by a delicate coloured border - this set is in lilac.  It's a four piece dressing table set consisting of a tray, a perfume atomiser (needs a replacement puffer, these can be sourced on the internet) and a trinket box with a lid.  Would make a thoughtful and original gift.  All pieces marked to the base and the perfume atomiser is also still sporting it's original gold foil manufacturer's label.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

SIZE:  Length of tray  8.25in/20.5cm    Combined Weight  564g

CONDITION:  Fabulous original condition - apart from a small chip to the edge of the trinket box lid which has been repaired there are no other chips, cracks or hairlines.  This particular type of pottery and the glaze used are very fragile, every piece I've had in the past has had glaze loss or chips to some lesser or greater degree.
