Offered for sale here is a rare retro/vintage item from the Rorstrand Atelje (Studio) range - a large ceramic wall plaque designed by Bertil Lundgren and decorated with a fantastic butterfly in brown and blue glazes with a raised surface texture. This is an iconic example of Swedish design - marked to the reverse with the Rorstrand 'R' and three crowns studio mark, the artist's initials 'BL' and 'Sweden Galleri 2'. Offered for sale here is an absolutely fabulous rare item from the Rorstrand Atelje (Studio) range - an extremely large and very heavy ceramic wall plaque designed by Olle Alberius and decorated with a vibrant abstract bright orange glazed design in relief. Olle Alberius worked for Rorstrand from 1963 until 1971 in the role of Artistic Director. This is a seriously iconic example of Swedish design - marked to the reverse with the Rorstrand 'R' and three crowns studio mark, the artist's initials 'OA' and 'Sweden Kavalkad 9'. Here is an incredibly stylish set of six coffee cups and saucers from the leading Swedish manufacturer Upsala Ekeby and dating from the 1960s. Made from a delicate white porcelain decorated with a fabulous black 'checked' type pattern we're not, at the moment, sure exactly who designed them. This is an extremely usuable and very decorative set of retro Scandinavian porcelain that would grace any collection. Fully marked to the base. Designed in the 1960's by Mari Simmulson for Upsala Ekeby (Sweden) is this fantastic ceramic bottle vase decorated with a scraffito decoration of a stylised girl with flowers to the front and flowers to the reverse side. This is a lovely example of retro Scandinavian design from a celebrated designer.
