From the Swedish ceramics manufacturer, Gustavsberg, here are two wonderfully stylish 'Eldfast Duett' dishes designed by the legendary Stig Lindberg and dating from the 1950s.  With a plain white ground decorated simply with a pale yellow band to the inside rims and very pale bluey/grey highlights, fully marked with the manufacturer's logo and range name to the bases.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

SOLD

These jugs, from the famous Finnish manufacturer, Arabia,  date from the 1960s and are becoming very highly collected items indeed.  This particular jug is decorated with a stylised cow design - other designs in the series include a butterfly and a cat. Whilst I've often seen these attributed to the famous ceramics and glass designer, Kaj Franck, I haven't yet been able to establish if this is actually the case.  Fully stamped to the base with 'ARABIA (Wartsila Finland'.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

This is a truly wonderful vintage plate - from the famous Finnish ceramic manufacturer, Arabia, and in the highly sought after range 'Emilia' - which was in production from 1949-1964.  Designed by Raija Uosikkinen, it features a charming black on white illustration of an elegant lady on a bicycle wearing a big flowery hat and surrounded with flowers.  It is marked to the base with 'Arabia Made in Finland 8'.  Please see all photographs below for alternative views and close-ups.

This is yet another wonderful vintage plate from the Finnish ceramic manufacturer, Arabia, from the highly sought after range 'Emilia' - which was in production from 1949-1964.  Designed by Raija Uosikkinen, it is a rectangular shape with a slight dip to the plain end which may have been designed to house a bowl and to the other side is a charming black on white illustration of a two elegant ladies taking tea in a garden surrounded by flowers.  It is marked to the base with 'Arabia Made in Finland, Decor Protected by Glaze EMILIA 3' and the impressed initials 'MB'.  Please see all photographs below for alternative views and close-ups.

These are simply stunning!  From the famous Finnish ceramic manufacturer, Arabia, and dating from 1971 here is a matching set of two navy blue and white hand painted ceramic lidded pots designed by Hillka-Liisa Ahola.  These were probably intended for use on a lady's dressing table to hold small items.  One pot is short and round with a dark blue base and a white glazed lid beautifully decorated with a gorgeous paisley type design in various hues of blue and lilac, the other pot is tall with a dark blue lid and the same blue paisley type design all around the base.  They're extremely attractive and decorative items and of the quality one would expect from Arabia.  Hand painted to the bases with 'Arabia Finland H-L. Ahola/MRR' (to the base of the squat pot) and 'Arabia Finland H-L. Ahola/71' (to the base of the taller pot).  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

Here is a large wall plaque decorated with the image of three men riding an elephant from the Unik series designed in the 1960's by Lisa Larson for Gustavsberg (Sweden) and in production from 1967 until 1986.  With fantastic glazes in shades of blue, green and brown and with a highly textured surface finish there were many different designs (mostly animals) in the series and we intend, in time, to carry them all.  This is an iconic example of retro/vintage Scandinavian design from a highly respected and sought after artist - marked to the front of the tile with 'Lisa L Gustavsberg'.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
