This one has a design of a typically 1960s looking lady with a blue swimming hat on and a blue and white striped swimming costume - a really attractive and rare item. SOLD This is a great item - from Pan Keramik (West Germany) and part of the Goebel empire - we have a small three-tiered square drippy red glazed vase with a dark grey/black interior. A really decorative little item that sits particularly well with the similarly shaped and coloured glazed items from Steuler. SOLD These jugs, from the famous Finnish manufacturer, Arabia, date from the 1960s and are becoming very highly collected items indeed. This particular jug is decorated with a stylised cow design - other designs in the series include a butterfly and a cat. Whilst I've often seen these attributed to the famous ceramics and glass designer, Kaj Franck, I haven't yet been able to establish if this is actually the case. SOLD Here is a lovely set of two matching vases - often mistaken for West German production of the same period because of the thick volcanic lava type glaze to the outsides, these have recently been positively identified as Dutch by Els van Petersen - designed by brothers Henk and Marius van Woerden for Vest Keramiek, Gouda. The crusty glazes produce an almost calcified effect and, combined with the interesting square and rectangular forms, they're extremely decorative items that also sit very nicely with the Fat Lava West German ceramics of the same period. SOLD This is an extremely unusual shaped piece of Bitossi pottery - in a charming oval leaf shape and with four feet - the first footed one and in this shape we've seen. Designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi in Italy circa 1960 in the famous Rimini Blu colour combination of blue and turquoise glazes (said to have been inspired by the colours of the mediterranean) and decorated with the impressed repeating pattern so typical of this range. Marked to the base with '61/662 ITALY' it still bears the remains of a retailers sticker which says 'Imported exclusively by ...... In an unusual cube/square shape with a glossy blue ground and decorated to two sides only with a swirly black pumice glazed pattern - the other two sides being plain blue glaze. No marks to the base other than the word 'Foreign' stamped in white which means this would originally have been manufactured for the export market. A very decorative item. SOLD What a funky gift these would make for any lover of the 1960's - a fine bone china tea trio (teacup, saucer and teaplate) made by Elizabethan English Bone China. In a fab retro psychedelic/ flower power pattern called 'Pop' and designed by A. Kusmirek it is decorated in a trippy combination of vibrant red, orange and yellow glazes. SOLD Dating from between 1965 and 1972 are these black and white Hornsea 'Scroll' design ceramic herb and spice jars with wooden lids - the shapes were designed by John Clappison and the scroll design by Gordon Hellewell. Consisting of Parsley, Thyme, Sage, Cinnamon, Allspice and Ginger these are decorative pieces of retro kitchenware and from a highly collectable pottery.
