Designed in 1957 for Orrefors by the respected and collectable designer, Sven Palmqvist, and the technique he pioneered using centrifugal force still in production today - here is a beautiful vibrant blue crystal 'Fuga' tumbler vase.  This range, which came in various sizes, shapes and colours, was in production from 1954 until 1983 and won the Grand Prix at the Milan Trienalle in 1957.  Fully marked to the base (see photograph) with 'Fuga Orrefors' this is a beautiful quality piece of retro glass that looks fantastic on display.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

Designed in 1951 by Arthur Percy for the Swedish glassmaker, Gullaskruf, and in production until 1965 here is a bottle vase in a bright red glass.  These came in a number of different colours and sizes - this one is the smallest in the range at 9.75in/24.5cm.  With a bulbous base and an attenuated flared neck these look very pretty on display and look fabulous with other brightly coloured glass of the same period.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

This is a lovely early piece of Mdina circa 1970 - it's what's known as an Inside Out vase and bears a nice early feature, the applied prunt stamped with the Maltese cross.  These particular vases were designed by Michael Harris and only in production whilst he was still at the Mdina glassworks.   It's thick and heavy and is made from swirly turquoise, clear and yellow glass to the outside and a vibrant yellow to the inside - the typical and trademark early palate of Mdina colours.  Unsigned (again another early feature) with a flat polished base.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
