Designed by Jitka Forejtova for Rudolfova Hut, part of the Sklo Union glasworks, here is a fabulous three piece set consisting of a large bowl with redial ribbing around the rim (pattern 13169/315), a flower frog which fits neatly in the centre (pattern 13170) and a lady centrepiece which fits on top of the central frog (pattern 13171). This is an impressive piece of glass, extremely heavy and in a modernist design of raised alternately frosted and clear lozenges to the surface - it looks brilliant on display with other retro glass and matches the jardiniere above. SOLD Yet another brilliant glass vase from the Sklo Union glassworks, Czechoslovakia, more specifically by Pavel Panek for Hermanova Hut and dating from 1971. Extremely thick and heavy and moulded with a pattern of chunky knobbles/spikes in relief and with 1 inch (2.5cm) of clear glass to the base - it's an impressively large piece of retro glass. SOLD Here is a very attractive clear glass vase from the Sklo Union glassworks, Czechoslovakia, more specifically by Frantisek Peceny for Hermanova Hut and dating from the late 1960s. Known as the 'candlewax' design it is moulded with a pattern of small knobbles and is a very decorative piece of retro glass. It has the typical Sklo Union glass footed 'birdbath' base. SOLD This is an extremely thick and heavy pair of clear glass candleholders designed in 1967 by Vladislav Urban for the Rosice Glassworks, part of the Sklo Union - they match a vase we also currently have for sale. With a cool raised modernist design to the surface with lines and 'nipples' and a ground down base - these are really nice examples of retro design. They vary very slightly in height and one has an original importers label to the underside which reads 'IMPORTED FROM BOHEMIA BY DEXAM INTERNATIONAL LTD'. SOLD This is an extremely decorative green glass bowl designed in 1964 by Rudolf Jurnikl for the Rudolfova Hut Glassworks, part of the Sklo Union, pattern number 13250/150 (it matches the clear glass hobnail jardiniere listed below). With the hobnail design to the centre it's an extremely decorative piece of retro glass and has the typical Sklo Union welled-base feature. SOLD Designed by the Czech designer Jiri Šuhajek in 1973, from his first range of vases and jardinières as the newly appointed factory designer at Moser glassworks at Karlovy Vary, Czechoslovakia. This is a fabulous hand-made, blown vase with applied threaded/trailed decoration - pattern number 54253/02.
