This is a beautfully designed, great quality item from the famous Italian stainless steel manufacturer, Alessi.  It has two triangular handles - one to each side - and a hinged lid with a stylised knob.  Marked to the base with 'Alfra Alessi 18/8 Stainless Steel Italy-MOD DEP' - this particular mark was in use from 1947 to 1967 so this piece cannot date any later than 1967.  Probably designed by Carlo Mazzeri and Anselmo Vitale who were responsible for most of the iconic designs from Alessi during the 1960s.  Please see all photographs below for alternative views and close-ups.

These are fabulous - a boxed set of 4 Lundtofte (Denmark) stainless steel candleholders dating we estimate from the 1960s or thereabouts.  These are very stylish items and look great in use - we have a set which we use at Christmas and other special occasions.  The box, although shabby, has a wood effect print to the lid, a red inner and the word 'Scanware' printed in silver to the lid top - we think this is probably the range name.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

These are simply gorgeous - a pair of stainless steel lidded containers with smoked glass removable liners - designed by the legendary Robert Welch for Old Hall.  Engraved to the lids, one with 'J' and the other with 'M', they're obviously for use at the breakfast table to contain jam and marmalade, there is a hole in the lids to house the spoons.  These are not only very usable items but also highly collectable.  Marked to the bases with 'Designed by R Welch, Old Hall England, 18/8 Stainless Steel, Regd 933083 IN UK.'  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

Stelton really is one of the top names in stainless steel - they employed cutting-edge, award-winning designers and, as a result, many items are becoming increasingly more collectable.   Here is a 1oz jigger (spirit measure) designed by Peter Holmblad, still in it's original packaging and in mint unused condition bearing more than a passing resemblance to the famous Cylinda-Line range of 1967 although this is a later design.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

The Viners 'Studio' range has become very highly collected indeed and has acquired quite a cult status.  Designed by the legendary Gerald Benney and dating from the 1960s here we have a boxed set of 6 stainless steel table forks - this range has recently been re-issued however the markings to the back on the re-issues are different, this particular set is original and in it's 1960s packaging.   We like this range so much we have a complete set for everyday use - they feel wonderful in the hand and are very stylish indeed.  They are in exceptional condition -mint and unused and the box is also in great condition.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

This is brilliant!  A boxed set of six 'Party Piece' stainless steel cutlery - a cross between a knife, a fork and a spoon - obviously for use at a party or a picnic.  From George Butler & Co (Sheffield) and dating from the 1960s they're still in their original rather charming box and look to be in totally mint unused condition.  The box is also in great condition - someone has written 'Joy's' to the lid (presumably the owner) but otherwise great.  An interesting and functional set - where would you find another?  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

These are totally fabulous - two matching storage containers, one large and one slightly smaller, made from a thick, hardwearing bright orange and yellow plastic (the interior is black).   Decorated with stylised flowers in pink, blue and orange on a yellow ground and the lids in bright orange with yellow knob handles.  Bright and colourful these look amazing on display and are very indicative of their period of manufacture.

CONDITION:  Both containers have light surface wear/scratching consistent with normal use but overall are in good condition and have no cracks or major damage.

This is absolutely brilliant!  Where do we start to describe it - it's so iconic and of the period.  Here is an insulated ice-bucket manufactured by BOC (British Oxgen Company) as part of their 'Sparklets' range of bar accessories - you've probably heard of their soda syphons.  This is called the 'Iceberg' and it came with a pair of black plastic tongs which store neatly inside the lid and what they called a 'water separator' - a white plastic drip tray that sits in the base to allow the melting ice to drip through.  The body is made from black plastic with a chrome carrying handle, it has a gold coloured lid with a large clear plastic knob.  Marked to the base with 'BOC MADE IN ENGLAND MODEL No IB/1' and to the underside of the lid is written 'Sparklets, Trade Mark' in gold lettering.  This would look absolutely amazing on an original 1970's bar - it's amazing and we love it!  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

The 'Calypto' pattern of stylised eucalyptus leaves and flowers was designed in 1959 by the legendary and illustrious late Michael Harris (of Mdina and Isle of Wight glass fame).  Here we have a large water or lemonade jug decorated in the 'Calypto' pattern and with a gorgeous thick gold rim and a polished base pontil.  A wonderful early example of the work of Michael Harris.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

Dating from between 1965 and 1972 are these black and white Hornsea 'Scroll' design ceramic herb and spice jars with wooden lids - the shapes were designed by John Clappison and the scroll design by Gordon Hellewell.  Consisting of Parsley, Thyme, Sage, Cinnamon, Allspice and Ginger these are decorative pieces of retro kitchenware and from a highly collectable pottery.  All wooden lids are original and still with their rubber seals - although the lids have loosened over time in most cases.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

Dating from 1960-1965 and from the famous English pottery, Hornsea, here is a wonderful salt and pepper set and matching sugar sifter in the 'Summit' pattern in the yellow and white colourway (this range also comes in black/white, red/white and blue/white) designed by the legendary John Clappison.  Tall and elegantly tapering to the top with alternately glazed yellow and white ridges running vertically from top to bottom and still bearing their original rubber stoppers the salt and pepper pots are not marked to the bases however the sugar sifter (with a white plastic top) is fully marked with 'Hornsea, Made in England, Summit'.   I don't believe these have ever been used - they're in excellent condition and, with many salt and pepper pots that have been used you find the holes chipped from where things have been prodded into them over the years (usually a fork prong).  In this instance not only are the holes in pristine condition they are also rather too large for use - the salt pot in particular has a very large hole that would allow far too much salt out - this may well be the reason for their survival in such amazing condition.  They simply weren't practical to be used everyday and have been safely displayed instead.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
