SOLD Designed in 1965 by Susan Williams-Ellis this is a vibrant orange Portmeirion ceramic storage jar in the black 'Greek Key' design which also came in black on white and, later on, with the pattern in gold. It has a wooden lid (which although still bearing it's original rubber seal in good condition the lid is slightly loose) and is fully stamped to the base with a black oval backstamp. This is a very unusual set of six whisky tumblers since they have a ribbed and slanted base - the main photograph is showing the glasses leaning backwards - if you look at the extra photographs and, in particular, the third photo you can see this leaning effect from one side. From the quality German glass manufacturer Schott Zwiesel, all six glasses bear their original silver and blue paper manufacturer's label. 1950s/60s Stavangerflint (Norway) 'Kon Tiki' Lidded Casserole by Inger Waage

SOLD Dating from the 1950's/1960's here is a brilliant lidded casserole dish from Stavangerflint (Norway). With a slightly textured blue glazed base and a lid with a white ground hand painted in the same blue with stylised flowers and a painted yellow band around the rim (the lid knob has a red painted band and a central flower motif) this was designed by the legendary Inger Waage. This is a very stylish and typically Scandinavian piece of pottery/ovenware that looks amazing on display but is robust enough to be used for it's original purpose. Here is yet another fabulous fine quality stainless steel Salt & Pepper set dating from the 1960s and from the highly collectable English company, Viners, probably designed by the illustrious Gerald Benney. As well as being extremely collectable they're also very usable - imagine them on your dinner table! Made from 18/8 stainless steel with a matte finish, they're fully marked to the bases with 'Viners, 18/8 Stainless Steel, England' and still bear their original plastic stoppers. Great items.
