Whitefriars Glass

Designed in the 1960's by Geoffrey Baxter for Whitefriars here is a fabulous large blown soda barrel shaped vase in amethyst, pattern no: 9596.  I absolutely adore this vase for a number of reasons - the delicate soda glass, the great retro shape and the amazingly vibrant purple colour of the glass.  A must for any Whitefriars collection.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

CONDITION:  Beautiful original condition with no chips, cracks or fleabites.  There are some bubbles in the glass and a little light surface wear.

Dating from 1972 (pattern no: 9788) here is a beautiful streaky purple and blue glass Geoffrey Baxter designed vase.  The colours and swirls in the glass are amazing (shown in detail in the extra photographs) this is an extremely attractive and decorative piece of retro/vintage glass from the highly collectable and sought after English glassworks, Whitefriars.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

Designed in the early 1960s for Whitefriars by Geoffrey Baxter this is a lovely bowl made from vibrant green glass - pattern no: 9514.  It takes a lovely circular shape with an off-centred circular opening - this is a quality piece of English glass in a vibrant colour that displays beautifully.  There are two sizes in this shape, this is the larger size at 6 inches.  Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.

Manufactured in the 1950's by Whitefriars here is a very pretty pair of bowls with controlled bubbles in the sapphire blue and sea green coloured glass - pattern no: 9099.  These bowls were originally designed in the 1940's but the colours date these  to the 1950's.  They look beautiful on display.   Please see all photographs for alternative views and close-ups.
